Ladoix Premier Cru "Les Gréchons"
CÔTE DE BEAUNE
With a beautiful golden color, our Ladoix Premier Cru "Les Gréchons" displays aromas of white flowers, pineapple and fresh mango. Discreetly highlighted by the fragrance of honeysuckle and dried fruits, its complexity is also found on the palate, where finesse and elegance dance with the opulence of the vintage. The finish, bursting with energy, resonates, never seeming to weaken.
Ladoix is the final vineyard in northern Côte de Beaune before entering the Côte de Nuits. “Les Gréchons” is one of the highest plots positioned on the steep sides of the Hill of Corton, where you once could find ancient quarries. Steep sedimentary, fossil-rich soils produce an intense and mineral Chardonnay enjoyable today, but also ageable for years.
Direct pressing of whole crop. 48 hours settling then racking from gross lees. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging in the same French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation. Aging on fine lees. Fining and light filtration before bottling.
